Racing pickup Ford F-150 Raptor XT

At the SEMA Show in Las Vegas held a presentation of two new modifications of the pickup truck Ford F-150 SVT Raptor – the most powerful version with a 6.2-liter V8 engine with 411 horsepower (587 Nm) and race car Raptor XT, prepared by the Department for Ford Racing off-road competitions. This is stated in the official press release.
Racing pickup truck built on the basis of customary Raptor, but not intended for use on public roads. Four-wheel drive vehicle equipped with a 500-horsepower eight-cylinder engine volume of atmospheric 6.2 liters and six-speed automatic transmission. Also, the car has safety cage in the cabin, seats with five-point seat belts and metal arc on the front bumper with additional headlights.
In 2008, the race Baja 1000 involved a prototype Raptor XT, which had the name of the index “R” and was equipped with the same 500-horsepower engine that serial car. As detailed in the company’s Ford, the real competition were used to fine-tuning the machine and its preparation for serial production.
Ford Raptor XT will be released a limited edition of 50 copies. The cost of each machine in the U.S. of 99 thousand 950 dollars.
The basic version of a pickup with a Raptor 320-horsepower 5.4-liter V8 engine was introduced at last year’s SEMA. Currently, Ford has already collected more than 3000 orders for this car, and version of the model with 411-hp motor can be bought on 1 December. Prices for the most powerful Raptor begin from $42000.
